01.Plenary sessions and monthly visits
Real key moments of the Rail Open Lab, the plenaries and monthly visits aim to share news from the project accelerator, make relevant connections and discuss our themes. Field visits also complement ecosystem activities. These meetings reinforce the DNA of the Rail Open Lab: results-oriented, focused on field needs and pragmatic to find the best solutions for the development of the rail industry.
02. Learner trips
Organized 1 to 2 times a year, the objectives of the learning trips are to discover the functioning of other rail ecosystems (actors, innovations, processes), to promote the Rail Open Lab ecosystem internationally and to develop the professional network of members of the Association. The first learning trip organized by the Rail Open Lab took place in Japan in 202X and allowed a delegation of nineteen representatives of the French rail industry to meet Japanese railway players.
03. Open innovation platform
Accessible only to members, the open innovation platform is an online tool that is part of the process of sharing knowledge and collective intelligence between the various components of the ecosystem. Rail Open Lab members thus have access to resources such as use cases, feedback from experiences, event planning, the member directory
Founding members and governance
The Rail Open Lab was founded in 2020, following on from the Digital Open Lab created in 2018. The entity has been an association under the 1901 law since December 2022 whose founding members are: SNCF Réseau, RATP, SERCE and FIF. The rotating presidency is held each year by one of the founding members. In 2024, the presidency is held by RATP.
